COZY TAPES is an installment series that we introduced back in February. The plan was to explore the ways in which music and design can be used to activate the community. The second installment, referred to as ‘THE ORANGE TAPE” will be available on June 19th. Each song was crafted with the cultural importance of Juneteenth in mind. Updates and exclusive information about the project will be shared with those who have subscribed to the email list. You can subscribe using the prompt at the bottom of the homepage.

Dr. Gary B Nelson is celebrating the release of his book “The Art of Resilience” at the Harvey B. Gantt on June 20th from 2-6pm. The event will feature a live interview Q&A session and a performance from Bryan Patterson Jr. Attendees are encouraged to RSVP so that they can be accommodated accordingly.
Velvet verses
Music Direction and Performance
Eighty Eights and Eclectic Soul Sessions have announced a new event that will reoccur every 4th Tuesday of the month. “Velvet Verses” feature a live band, along with two featured artists. Bryan Patterson Jr and Spoken Word Artist Lyrik will be featured for the first installment of this event .

Stay Cozy Studios was founded by Bryan Patterson Jr. in November of 2022. As Charlotte was restructuring in the post-pandemic era, Bryan brought significant value through offering his services as both a graphic designer and musician. He built relationships with Charlotte businesses that needed graphic design work to drive sales and he built a reputation with the artists in the city showing up to make flyers, promote their artistry and assist with music production and direction.
Bryan earned the nickname “Cozy” as a nod to the value that his presence and his work provided others. He hopes to be seen as a “good neighbor” or one note in a chord that shows the beauty of the community.
Stay Cozy Studios now stands as a respected business that allows troubled minds to rest. We design solutions that make ideas real through the vehicle of visual design and music direction.
