Brand identity design: fresh2death festival & Concert
Dupp&Swat is an arts and creativity machine where expression, entrepreneurship and empowerment collides. Since opening in 2010, they’ve hosted more than 2,300 events, engages over 100,000 community members, and helped generate an estimated $2.5-5 million in economic impact for artists, entrepreneurs, and creatives in Charlotte.
FRESH2DEATH is a festival that Dupp&Swat ambitiously crafted to platform artists, vendors and musicians in Charlotte. Stay Cozy Studios was hired to deliver a brand identity package that includes:

Dupp&Swat requested that the visual identity reflect a nature theme for the Urban Outsiders concept. The design concept would be used to align with the art installations, decorated vendors market, set design for performance artists and DJs and the scene throughout.

“TIA CORINE”
For each video flyer, we made it a point to use music by a North Carolina artist to keep the energy homegrown. Tia Corine is a rapper from Winston-Salem who recently collaborated with Denzel Curry and Chance the Rapper. To show solidarity with the home state heroes was a small but important detail that threaded the event’s brand identity together.
“Elevator Jay”
Elevator Jay is a Charlotte native who uses his music and his platform to preserve the history of Charlotte. His music is the finest form of Carolina Pride and his song “Blank” is a Charlotte anthem. It was an honor to give a nod to a pillar in the commmunity.
